JD Wrote:Thought I would share my rat rod cub cadet with you. it's a 1984 1872 Hydro.
I acquired it from a buddy that acquired it from his boss. It spent the first 20 years of its life mowing
the rest area's on I29 just outside of St Joe Missouri and it's winters blading parking lots. the ole guy never got a break
till it was retired about 5 years ago after it had been in a crash that took the whole front end off. The grill, hood
and side covers had been smashed by a truck backing into it. Then the parts started getting robbed off the engine. When I
got it the engine had been stripped. Luckily after coming up with the parts and getting the engine put back together it fired
right up and everything worked. It's a worker. It mows about 2 acres a week and still pushes snow all winter. The stacks
are baffled but are still loud enough to make the neighbors cuss every time it backs out of the garage. It's still a work
in progress. I'll send more pic's when it's done. Thanks, J.D.

JD's Email:
The little yeller one is a Mustang I fixed up for my daughter. Then we have the T16 Homelite that I've finally got
up and running and hope to restore by the end of the year. Thinking it's a 1973, but not sure. Having a hard time finding
much info on Homelites. The remains of a Allis Big Ten and the Sears SS16. The Sears is fast becoming my favorite. Runs
smooth and everything on it works like new. I got all the ariginal paper work and history on this one. It's had belts, some
repairs to the deck and new tie rod ends put on it and I just put a new seat on it. Other than that it's fully original and
better than anything you can buy new today. Can't forget the poor ole 1966 Swish-err Ride King. 100% original. It's not
much to look at, but it gets used to trim around the trees every week and still fires up on the first pull every time.
